VISTA AND WINDOWS 7 USERS:
"User Account Controls” sets permissions for files, sometimes
interfering with the execution of the SASE.OCX module in CycleTimer.
To resolve this
issue and allow CycleTimer to run on your machine,
install CycleTimer then right click its desktop icon and choose to
“Run as Administrator”.
If this does
not resolve the issue, simply uncheck the box named "Use User Account
Control (UAC)". This is accessed thru the Control Panel -> User
Accounts window. At the bottom of this window you will click on "Turn
User Account Control on or off".
You will need
to restart after making this change.

Help Files
Download the zipped HTML Help file
that can be read in Vista or Windows 7. This file has been updated in
2010. Windows blocks all downloaded HTML Help (*.chm) files. Unblock
the file after downloading by right clicking it and choosing
"Unblock".
To read the Help
files by clicking the buttons inside CycleTimer you need to download a
small program, WinHelp.exe, from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607#3
It only takes a
few minutes and only has to be done once for all your software that
uses WinHelp files. You will need to know if your Windows version is 32
or 64 bit because there are separate files to download for each
version.
After
downloading/installing the WinHelp reader you may receive a message
saying “There was a problem running the
macro. (1037)”. The same Microsoft download website tells how
to fix this also:
1.Log on by using an administrator account.
2.Click Start, type
regedit in the Start Search
box, and then click regedit in the Programs
list.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation,
type the password, or click Continue.
3.Locate the following registry subkey, and then
click it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WinHelp
If the WinHelp subkey is not already there, add
it.
4.On the Edit menu, point to
New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
5.Type
AllowProgrammaticMacros, and then press ENTER.
6.On the Edit menu, click
Modify.
7.In the Value data box, type
1, click Hexadecimal
in the Base area, and then click OK.
8.Exit Registry Editor.
